Compassionate Justice for Immigrants Now

Two of the foremost leaders engaged in compassionate justice for immigrants at the Texas-Mexico border, Caly Fernandez of Puentes de Cristo (Bridges of Christ) and Pastor Abraham Barberi of Minsterio Una Mision (One Mission Ministries), will describe the dimensions of their tireless work and the struggles faced by the immigrants they serve.
The event will also provide time to meet and learn from Cleveland-area organizations that are dedicated to assisting immigrants in our region.
Pastor Barberi, out of Brownsville, Texas, who has been featured on the ABC Nightly News, daily gives physical and spiritual assistance to immigrants waiting in encampments in Metamoras, Mexico. He knows their stories, struggles and the deplorable conditions they face. Caly Fernandez, out of Hidalgo, Texas, is deeply involved in networks of churches and non-profits along the border. She actively works to provide food, clothing, health care and basic rights for immigrants on both sides of the border.
